Here are my grocery purchases for this week. We went to the commissary in Colorado Springs on our way back from our Vegas Trip. The commissary is our best way to stock up on lunch meats and dairy products, since they’re often much cheaper than sale prices at other stores. They had a few other good deals this time, too. I spent most of my grocery money for the month, though, so I won’t be going to the store much until next month!
Here’s what I got at the Commissary:
- 2 graham cracker pie shells
- 2 boxes hot cocoa
- 2 cans pasta sauce
- 1 bag slivered almonds
- 3 cans Febreeze spray
- 12 half-pound boxes Challenge butter
- 3 Fresh Take breadcrumb mixes
- 6 DiGiorno frozen pizzas (using this coupon)
- lunchmeat — 2 turkey, 3 ham, 2 chicken
- 1 pack of chicken sausage
- 4 lbs bacon
- 1 box fully cooked bacon
- 3 packages Italian sausage
- 1 bag sausage crumbles
- 2 packages of chicken breasts
- 1 turkey ham
Spent: $78.32
Saved: $38.40
Added to the Commissary’s average 30% savings over grocery store prices, that’s a 64% savings!
Dillons
Here’s what I got at Dillons:
- Ortega diced jalapenos — $1.02 sale price less $1.00/2 coupon = $.52 ea
- Ortega taco shells — $1.25 sale price less $1.00/2 coupon = $.75 ea
- Skintimate shaving gel — $2.11 on closeout less $.75/1 coupon (doubles to $1.00) = $1.11
- Colgate toothpaste — $1.00 less $.75/1 coupon (doubles to $1.00) = FREE
- Beechnut Fruties — $1.00 less $1 and $.75 coupons (double to $1.00) = FREE
