This sounded weird to me, too, but my hubby loves Mt. Dew so I wanted to try it anyway. It’s good! Not too sweet and just the right amount of jello/pudding combination.
Hubby made the batch in the pictures, and I promise it tastes even better than it looks. It will be on our Easter table this year, and I’m sure it will make more than one appearance at a summer barbecue.
- 2 small packages of lime jello
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. Mt. Dew
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 2 c. mini marshmallows
- 8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 tub cool whip
- 1 small package instant lemon pudding
- milk (as needed according to the lemon pudding recipe)
Mix the jello and hot water. Add Mt. Dew, bananas, marshmallows and pineapple. Pour into a 13×9 pan and refrigerate until slightly set (about 3 hours).
Mix instant pudding according to package directions. Fold cool whip into the pudding and spread on top of the jello. Cover and refrigerate until fully set.
