Tri-State Thresher Show

Steam Engine

Local festivals are one of my favorite things about northwest Kansas during this time of year. Last weekend, we went to Pickin’ on the Plains Bluegrass and Folk Festival, and this past weekend we went to the Tri-State Antique Engine and Thresher Show.

I’ve never been to a thresher show before, but it was a lot of fun. There were hundreds of antique tractors, threshing machines and antique cars to view. The association that hosts the event kept visitors busy with nearly constant activities like parades, demonstrations, stagecoach rides–even a turtle race!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the show…

My family enjoyed the free stagecoach rides.
